This weekend I will be heading up to my cabin near Sandpoint. I was up there for the Easter weekend and couldn't help but notice the welcome return of the osprey. They were extremely industrious at the time building their nests for the year and getting ready to hatch their young. I am always impressed by the osprey. Perhaps inspired by their productivity, I returned to Spokane and spent several weeks since Easter working on my own house and yard.
Now that we are approaching Memorial Day weekend, I am sure their nests are well established and the Osprey are taking turns rotating the duties of fishing and watching the nest. They do this with such purpose and partnership. I love the way they work together throughout the summer in taking care of their young. I am also looking forward to watching them fish. They are truly spectacular fishers.
Friends I have spoken with who are knowledgeable about what animals mean from a spiritual perspective speak very highly of the osprey in this regard. Their abilities to go in the air, on the land and even under water are considered to have considerable strengths in spirit world. They are considered to signify spiritual transition. Perhaps changing my blog name and site is just that for me. Who knows, but the journey begins. Thank you for reading this page and I hope you enjoy.
